Knitting is like magic, it is addictive.

Hello, my name is Veronique. I live in the Blue Mountains national park in New South Wales, Australia and I loooooove knitting… And writing for that matter.

How did I start knitting?

Well, I started in my teens and was very much into lacy patterns and intarsia but then I got interested in boys and knitting got out of the window.

Many moons later, having put an end to the lover quest and being happily married to truly one of the most wonderful men in the world, I have returned to knitting with a passion. Almost an obsession (but that’s my personality, not knitting).

Knitting for me

• provides a way to channel creativity with patterns, designs, colours and yarns;
• caring by knitting for others;
• relaxation by focussing on a simple task (well, not always that simple given by the mistakes I make sometimes).

Knitting is a major source of contentment for me and my husband often comments on how peaceful I look when I knit.

So there you have it. I hope this blog can bring you some of that happiness too.
