Picture a hero, knit the pattern.

Children character patterns to knit

OK, I have had a look around the net and there are very very few knitting or even crochet patterns with children’s characters.

So while I am not going to make whole garments for this post, I am going to show you how to make your own knitting patterns with children’s characters.

This is how it works:

  1. Pick a plain knitting pattern you like
  2. Find a picture of the character you want to knit
  3. Upload the picture here and print your pattern (free)
  4. Work out where in your chosen pattern (from step 1) you will insert the character pattern: large front of the garment, on the back, small on the sleeve, etc…
  5. Knit away
  6. Give the child the knit and get a big cuddle for it!

Here are some I prepared for you which you can download and print for free:

You get the idea…

Over to you: upload a picture of your favorite children’s heros and print the pattern now.
